So far this semester is beginning well. I will be spending time with both middle school students and elementary students this semester. I am very excited to experience both age groups. My heart is set currently on high school age teaching or secondary. Perhaps, I will change my mind as the semester progresses. We shall see. The EDUC classes for this semester have already been very informative.
I hope that this new generation of teachers will be able to incorporate the enthusiasm and knowledge that I see demonstrated every day in classes when they get to the real world. I am eager to try some of the techniques I am learning and really see them in action.
In light of remaining creative while I am focusing mostly on non-art classes I have been visiting the studio on the weekends, when I can. There are several new paintings in the works and a few pieces of jewelry. One ring is being particularly difficult in the fabrication process. I have decided to learn fold forming and repousse. I will have to teach my self mostly, but I hope to attend some demonstrations throughout the semester.
Looking forward to sharing more soon.
