Settings and Context:

The information in this section of my portfolio relates to experiences while teaching students ages 18-25 from Community Connections of Fort Collins and Fossil Ridge high school. The students are varied in degree of mental or physical challenges or both. The students come to Colorado State University to participate in art classes provided by Art Ed student teachers. We welcomed these students to our art studio and engaged them in five different lessons. Some concepts that we covered during their visit were: Shape, Line, Structure and Function, Texture, Play/Exploration, Collaboration and Inspiration. Some materials that we explored included clay, tissue paper, found objects and paint.
