Learners will be able to create a work of art that conveys meaning through advanced mark making.(Blooms: Create Standard: Demonstrate competency in traditional and new art media, and apply appropriate and available technology to express ideas GLE: Develop and build appropriate mastery in art-making skills using traditional and new technologies and an understanding of the characteristics and expressive features of art and design Art Learning: Materials/techniques Literacy: )
I can use techniques of art and design to create a work of art. This means I can apply the skills I have learned to create art from observation.
Painting I Unit Standards, Goals and Objectives
COLOR THEORY:
Learners will be able to recognize, identify and evaluate the use of color in visual arts. (Blooms: Identify/ evaluate Standard: Visual art has inherent characteristics and expressive features, A personal philosophy of art is accomplished through use of sophisticated language and studio art processes.
GLE: Make informed critical evaluations of visual and material culture, information, and technologies. Recognize, articulate, and implement critical thinking in the visual arts by synthesizing, evaluating, and analyzing visual information Art Learning: Expressive features and characteristics of art Literacy: articulation of findings through writing and visual language)
I can recognize, identify and evaluate the use of color in visual arts. This means I can meaningfully talk about how color is used in art.
