Last week, while at my middle school assignment, we taught a strategy involving graphic organizers. It was amazing to see how excited my group was at the prospect of being able to create something. Perhaps it was novel in an English class room, perhaps they really enjoy drawing? What ever the case was I thoroughly enjoyed that session. We were utilizing the graphic organizers strategy to help create understanding of the literary concept of theme. I have attached a picture or our finished project.

The beginning of the semester heralded my entry into the Colorado State University teacher licensure program. What does that mean? It means that I am set on the path of becoming a teacher, my graduation is set for Spring of 2017. Currently,though I believe it will be the Autumn of 2017. There are some classes that I still need and will have to work out how to include them into my teaching schedule. I am currently enrolled in two education classes that I am directly involved with students. In one I am co-teaching with two other teachers a group of students with limited abilities, the other I am at a middle school with a large group of co-teaching students under the supervision of two full time teachers. In the latter class I am assisting in an English room, something that I have always struggled with. The first class is teaching art, and it is an amazing class. Both classes have taught me so much already and we are only 4 weeks into the semester. I have experienced difficulty, but have found ways to mitigate or get through them.
