In the time between my class in Spring 2012, and now I have sat on the fence about my choice to teach art. I was worried that it would take too long to acquire a degree and begin teaching. I have decided though it is not the destination, it is the journey. I am enjoying obtaining my education and look forward to the next few years. I will be completing my requirements at Front Range a semester behind my original plan, but that will be fine. In the Fall of 2013 I intend on enrolling at Colorado State University in their art education program. It should suit my needs ideally. I have spoke to transfer agents and found that I will not require as much time to complete my degree as I had thought. My children are still young and just beginning their educational careers. My free time for classes and homework is currently limited. By the time they are both full time in school I will be well on my way to obtaining a position in a local school. I am still not sure what age group I would like to teach. Perhaps I will be able to find different opportunities to teach multiple age groups. Only time will tell. I would like to thank Ms. Bromley for all of her positive reinforcement and encouragement. I hope I will encounter more instructors and professors like her along my journey.
